About

One of my earliest memories involves my first-grade English teacher asking me to help another student with their reading and writing. To my surprise, I enjoyed the experience, and over time it developed into a consistent interest in working one-on-one with writers to clarify ideas and strengthen communication. My approach remains simple: meet people where they are, proceed with patience and focus, and instill the belief that improvement is inevitable.

My pedagogy has been shaped by independent practice and formal writing center work. I have worked with writers across academic, creative, and professional contexts, including STEM doctoral candidates, media professionals, creative writers, and differently-abled individuals. I regularly support students working on essays, applications, résumés, and longer academic or professional projects, as well as writers for whom English is a second or third language. Sessions are adapted to each writer’s goals and pace.

My background includes formal training in university writing tutoring and work within a college writing center environment. During my undergraduate studies, I was selected for and completed a university writing tutor course and tutored at The Writing Center at The City College of New York. I have completed coursework under Dr. Jill Stephen, Natalie Diaz, and Irini Spanidou. These experiences helped shape my understanding of voice, clarity, and attentive reading, and continue to inform how I conduct sessions.

Clear Structure Writing grew out of years of independent tutoring and collaborative writing work. The goal remains consistent: to offer grounded, focused sessions where writers leave with greater clarity and a clear sense of what comes next.
